The maker's directions are one capful, 5 mL, for every 10 US gallons on the first day, then one capful for every 20 gallons each day for seven days. The maker says fish can be added at any time as long as the dose is kept up for the seven days. After that, the maker suggests one capful per 20 gallons once a month or at each water change, and whenever new fish go in. The label says to shake the bottle well and to turn off UV and ozone units before dosing. The maker says 500 mL treats 2,000 US gallons. The label says it is for aquarium use only and to keep it away from children. Write the start date on the bottle, so you know when the seven days are done.
