A perch with a heater inside, for a bird that sits in a draft or near the air conditioning. The perch is warmer at one end than the other, so your bird can move along it until it finds the spot it likes. The small size is 1 inch thick and 10.5 inches long, and the thickness changes along the perch to rest the feet. A built-in thermostat keeps the warmth steady. It runs on a 12-volt adapter and uses 3.5 watts. It is made of tough, non-toxic plastic that resists biting and scratching, and it fastens to a wire cage. The small size is made for little birds like parakeets and canaries. Wash it by hand with soap and water, and let it dry completely before you use it again. Keep the cord outside the cage where your bird cannot reach it, and give your bird other perches too. The maker says the heated perch should not be the highest perch in the cage.
