Out-of-cage time is easier when the bird has somewhere of its own to sit. This stand gives it two levels of perches, a swing and a ladder on a base that wipes clean, and it is light enough to carry from room to room. The stand measures 12.6 inches long, 10.6 inches wide and 21.3 inches tall, which fits on a side table or a desk. Two levels of beech perches, a swing and ladders give a budgie or a cockatiel something to do standing still. The base is covered so seed husks and droppings sit on a surface you can wipe rather than on your furniture. A hook on the frame takes a foraging toy, so the stand is not just somewhere to perch. At a little over two pounds it moves with one hand, which matters if you want the bird near you while you work. Put the stand where the family already is. A bird left out of its cage in an empty room usually goes back in and sulks.
