A cage that came with two identical dowels gives a bird one grip for its whole life, and that is how sore feet start. These six perches are natural branches of different thicknesses, so the foot closes differently on each one. Six pieces in the pack, mixing straight branches, forked branches and hanging multi-branch platforms. The wood is untreated and the bark is left on, so the diameters vary along each branch instead of staying the same the whole way. Bolts and wing nuts are fitted already, so each perch goes on the bars without you hunting for hardware. Nothing in the pack has a sanded or grit surface, which is the coating that wears a bird's feet raw. The mix suits parakeets, budgies, lovebirds and cockatiels. Leave one thick perch in the warmest, highest corner and make that the sleeping spot. Birds pick the highest perch to sleep on, so decide which one it is going to be.
