A bird in a cardboard box arrives at the vet frightened and with nothing to hold. This carrier gives it a perch to stand on, a window to see out of, and a steel tray underneath that comes out to be cleaned. A standing perch is fitted inside, so the bird travels gripping something rather than sliding on a flat floor. The side window lets it see out, and lets you check on it without opening anything. The tray slides out, which matters on the way home from a stressful appointment. It folds flat for storage, so it lives in a cupboard rather than taking up floor space all year. Put the carrier in the room a few days before the appointment with a treat inside. A bird that has already been in it once travels far better.
