Most of the mess a seed-eating bird makes lands within a few inches of the cage. This mesh skirt wraps the bottom of the cage and catches it before it reaches the carpet. The skirt runs 118 inches long and 15 inches deep, which wraps a cage up to roughly a 29 inch square footprint. A drawstring pulls it tight to whatever shape the cage is, so it fits round cages and square ones. The mesh is open enough that air still moves through the bottom of the cage. It comes off and goes in the wash rather than needing to be wiped. Fit it slightly loose rather than tight. A skirt stretched flat bounces seed back out, and a slack one holds it.
