Two flat wooden platforms, each cut from a half log with the bark left on one side, that bolt onto the bars of a bird cage. Each platform is about 7 inches long and 3 inches wide. Each one has a built-in bolt with washers and a wing nut, so it tightens by hand. The maker says the wood is fir and that it suits budgies, cockatiels, parakeets and birds of a similar size. The flat top gives a bird a place to rest its feet that is different from a round perch. Wood is a natural material, so the shape and the bark differ from piece to piece. Mount one low and one high, away from the food and water cups, so droppings do not land in them.
