An incandescent heat bulb for reptile terrariums in the color the maker calls Night Black. The maker's heating guide gives an air temperature of 85 to 87.5 degrees Fahrenheit at 6 to 8 inches under the bulb. The guide gives 82.5 to 85 degrees out to about 16 inches from the bulb and 80 to 82.5 degrees farther out. The maker measured this at a room temperature of 78 degrees in a glass terrarium with a screen cover and a Zilla Mini Dome. The maker says the night colors are for nocturnal setups, where low light is kept to imitate night. The maker recommends a Zilla reflector dome and says to keep the bulb away from water, limit frequent switching and let it cool before handling. The shop sells one 100 watt bulb, and the package may look different from the pictures. Check with a thermometer that the warm spot is right for your species before the animal moves in.
