A plush puppy with a battery heartbeat and a heat pack inside, made for a puppy's first nights at home, crate time and bedtime. This is the medium size, 12 by 8 inches, which the maker lists for dogs of 25 to 70 pounds. The pack includes the plush toy, the heartbeat unit with batteries, and one disposable heat pack. Press the heart's button once for an eight-hour heartbeat, or hold it for five seconds for a continuous one. Hold it again to turn it off. The heat pack goes in the belly pouch and gives warmth for up to 24 hours. It is single use, and replacement packs are sold separately. The plush can go in the washing machine once the heart and the heat pack are taken out. It is not a chew toy. Take the heart out before leaving a puppy alone with it. The color is cream. Put it in the crate a few evenings before the first night alone, so the heartbeat is already familiar.
