A plug-in water fountain for dogs and cats that circulates water through a filter. The clear tank holds 2.1 gallons, about 8 liters, and the maker says you refill it by pouring water into the drinking tray. The maker lists five filter layers, which are non-woven fabric, ion-exchange resin, activated carbon, silver ceramic balls and a sponge. The maker gives the pump noise as about 28 decibels and describes a 2.4-inch splash shield and a 2.2-inch buffer ring. The maker says to change the filter and sponge about every two weeks and to clean the pump every week. The listing says it is corded electric with one battery included, and the maker lists a 16-hour battery reserve. The maker calls the color blue, and the pictures show a white base with a blue-tinted tank. The fountain is 7.34 inches high. Rinse the bowl and wipe the pump each week, and set the fountain on a floor that can take a few drips.
