This toy moves a laser dot in a random path across the floor or a wall, so the pattern is never the same twice. It switches itself on when it senses your cat nearby and turns off after 15 minutes. Two motors move the dot along a random path, so your cat cannot guess where it goes next. The motion sensor starts a 15-minute session when your cat comes within about 13 feet, and it can start again two hours later. There are three speeds: fast, slow and mixed. The 1,200 mAh battery charges over USB in about two and a half hours, and the toy also runs while plugged in. You can tilt the laser head to aim the dot at the floor or a wall. It uses a Class 1 laser, the lowest-power laser class. Aim the dot at the floor or a wall, never at eye level. After a session, toss a toy mouse where the dot stopped, so the hunt ends with something your cat can catch.
