A winter shelter for an outdoor or community cat. The double walls hold in the cat's own body heat, so it needs no electricity, and the raised floor keeps the bedding off wet ground. The shelter measures 19.7 by 16.2 by 13.4 inches and sits on a metal frame about 3 inches off the ground. The walls have two layers, a rigid plastic panel and a thermal layer, under 600D Oxford fabric. A waterproof PVC roof sheds rain and snow, and it snaps off for cleaning. Ground anchors are included to hold it down in the wind. The entrance is small and low, which helps keep out drafts and lets older cats and kittens step in easily. Line it with straw rather than blankets or towels. Straw stays dry and lets the cat burrow in, while fabric soaks up moisture and turns cold.
